Dairy cows in negative energy balance try to compensate for this by mobilizing their body fat. In high yielding cows, the capacity of the liver to metabolize fat is not sufficient, and fat is metabolized into ketones, resulting in ketosis later in lactation. To avoid these problems it is important for the animal to increase its energy intake as soon as possible. Farm-O-San Pro-Keto is a dietetic feed that contains large amounts of glycogenic energy and is able to reduce the risk of ketosis.


Administer 100-125ml twice daily to high performance dairy cows during the first 3-6 weeks after calving. In case of clinical ketosis administer 250ml twice daily


Farm-O-San Pro-Keto contains propylene glycol and glycerine, providing extra energy. Niacin and vitamin B12 improve energy utilization and choline supports proper functioning of the liver. In addition, Farm-O-San Pro-Keto contains vitamin E and zinc.


Pro-Keto It contains all essential ingredients for a good start to lactation. It also includes two flavouring agents, avoiding a negative effect on Dry Matter Intake if Farm-O-San Pro-Keto is included in a TMR.
